The all-new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge were announced at Samsung’s Unpacked event in Barcelona this evening, which, for the very first time, was available to stream in 360 degrees.

While the new S7 range resembles its predecessor, the S6, in terms of design; both the S7 and S7 edge boast a number of new features, including a new camera, a better VR experience, always on display and the return of the microSD slot for expandable storage.

Running on Marshmallow, with a powerful Exynos 8890 Octa Core processor and an impressively larger battery, size-wise the S7 retains the same 5.1-inch display as the S6, while the S7 edge’s 5.5-inch display is a balance between what we saw on the S6 edge and S6 edge+.

A key change on S7 range is the camera. With Dual Pixels and a new lens, not only is the new camera on the S7 and S7 edge touted as being the best on the market in low light, according to Samsung it's also the fastest.

At the Unpacked event we were also introduced to Samsung's new 360 camera, the Gear 360. With 15MP image sensors and dual fisheye lenses, the Gear 360 has the ability to capture high-resolution 360-degree video and can support 30MP images.
