Here Are The Brand New Additional Features For Skype Android

Skype for Android has just launched new features, claiming to make it easier to be more productive on your Android phone.

Last week Skype also released their latest updates for iOS and integration with Microsoft Outlook.

The new services from last week now allow you to use group videos calls on Skype mobile through Microsoft’s mobile email and calendar app.

You can also turn on the “Skype Meeting” option by toggling “on” and “off” in the updated iOS Skype app while creating events within Outlook

Skype is quite easy at staying close to family and friends with features like; group instant messaging, group video calls, and file sharing.

The feature newly released by Skype include:

Schedule a call with family and friends.

You can now schedule a call and add it to your calendar, while also being able to schedule that same call in Outlook from Skype.

Simply tap on the person you want to call, then tap on “schedule a call”. If you use a different calendar app other than the Android one, you can just send an invite for the scheduled call.

Open Microsoft Office documents, presentations and spreadsheets

You can now open Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and excel spreadsheets that you receive in 1:1 group chats. Once you have received a Word document simply tapping ont he file will open it up in Word right away.


These features are all in the latest version of Skype for Android and you can get the update here in Google Play.
