Apple investigate of its iPhone 6s battery percentage glitching

Apple acknowledges a problem where if you change the time on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or change time zones, the battery percentage glitch does not update.

Notice that the battery percentage on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus is not moving even after prolonged use of the device? You may not be alone. Apple has acknowledged an issue with the battery percentage indicator in an advisory on its website.

It states that users who change the time on their iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or change time zones when traveling, might notice that the battery percentage is not updating. A check of the Apple Support Communities shows people reporting the problem as early as last September.

Apple said it is “aware of the issue and is investigating the cause and the solution”. In the meantime, it is advising users to restart their phones, as well as to ensure that they have turned on the Automatic mode in the Date and Time settings.
