Anyone who has been travelling of late may have encountered an unusual iPhone 6S bug, which causes the battery percentage not to update.
If you travel frequently, you may find that the battery percentage on your iPhone 6S doesn’t change. No, this doesn’t mean that you’ve cracked how to make your handsets battery last forever; there is a bug that is causing the iPhone 6S not to update the battery percentage.
Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix, though it’s unclear when that will arrive. Until the fix is released, there is a manual workaround to correct it. All you have to do is restart your iPhone, then go to Settings > General > Date and Time and ensure that “Set Automatically” is switched to “On”.
The error seems to occur when switching time zones automatically or manually changing the time on the device.
It doesn’t seem like it’ll affect a large number of iPhone 6S users, but those travelling would like to know just how much battery life they can expect from their handset, we’re sure. At least there are steps you can take to rectify it until Apple releases an official fix.
