Is your smartphone the fastest one? Official speed test reveals the top 10 phones

Apple's iPhone 6s Plus has annihilated the competition in the latest round of speed tests.

The popular smartphone was put through its paces against its Android rivals in the yearly test by Antutu.

With a score of 132,620 the iPhone beat the nearest Android device, Huawei's Mate 8, by over 40%.

Coming in third place was the Meizu Pro 5 with Samsung's Note 5 and S6 Edge+ following in fourth and fifth place.

Apple's older iPhone 6 was sixth with the brilliant budget Oneplus 2 making it into the top 10.

Apple's A9 chip is the fastest the firm has ever produced and is around 90% faster than the original iPhone.
The US tech giant states on its website: "The A9 chip is capable of gaming console–class graphics performance that makes games and other apps much richer and more immersive." Samsung probably won't be too impressed by these results, but the Korean firm is expected to launch its new Galaxy S7 in March. This phone is set to feature plenty of upgrades including a new faster processor, expandble memory and improved cameras. Source: Dailystar UK
