Apple might be adding yet another model to its growing list with news of a larger screened iPhone 7 set for the end of the year
There are a whole mess of Apple rumours swirling around at the moment, with a potential 4 inch iPhone mooted for March (alongside a new iPad Pro) and plenty of whispering about the iPhone 7 models set to arrive in September 2016.
Apple has been releasing two handsets at a time in recent years and it's reasonable to assume we'll see an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus based on that pattern. But the latest possibility is that a third model could also emerge, with the potential title of the iPhone 7 Pro. This would be in line with Apple's product names to date and would present an even more premium offering that would set itself apart with a truly next generation camera.
The info comes from the brain of KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo - who dubs himself the best Apple analyst around. And he's had a lot of success in the past, gathering information and speculating on what the tech giant will do next. In this case he surmises that they want to deliver a high end product which will show off what mobile cameras are capable of by using twin lenses and a system developed by LinX. It could revolutionise the limitations of smartphone photography, and present a must-have gadget for those with the cash to pick it up.
Not so long ago, Apple used to release one handset at a time, is the world ready for four in 2016? We'll have to wait and see.
