Got the evening free? Why not watch the Titanic sink in real time

It’s been 104 years since the Titanic sunk, and the tragedy still captures our imaginations.

We’ve seen dramatisations and documentaries – our favourite being the 1997 flick with Kate and Leo, of course.

But now, someone has put together a real-time animation of the sinking of the cruise.

Because you’re watching it as it happens, the whole video is around two hours and 40 minutes – but it’s worth it if you’ve got the time free.

Titanic Sinks in a realtime

It’s strangely gripping

The simulation even includes captions that describe what’s happening on board at specific times.

But one thing is missing – the passengers.

When the Titanic sank on April 14, 1912, it took around 1,500 victims down with it – but in this animation, the ship is completely empty.

It’s strangely fascinating.

The video was created to promote a new game, ‘Titanic: Honour and Glory’.
