How Tesla tests its bioweapon defence mode
Electric car manufacturer Tesla is confident that its motors can save your life.
The US company, headed up by billionaire Elon Musk, has revealed the testing proceedure for its famous "bioweapon defense mode".
First revealed by Musk last year , the mode uses an exteme level of air filtration to remove harmful toxins from the air.
"Inspired by the air filtration systems used in hospitals, clean rooms, and the space industry, we developed a HEPA filtration system capable of stripping the outside air of pollen, bacteria, and pollution before they enter the cabin and systematically scrubbing the air inside the cabin to eliminate any trace of these particles," explained the company in a blog post .
It revealed that it encased its latest car - the Model X - inside a gigantic bubble and pumped in polluted air.

Tesla said it was nearly 200 times more toxic than the world's current highest levels recorded in Bejing .
"In other words, Bioweapon Defense Mode is not a marketing statement, it is real. You can literally survive a military grade bio attack by sitting in your car."
In fact, the company claims its filter systems are so effective that it can even clean the air outside the car. Take that, Volkswagen .
